How the converter works
Rates come from the CoinGecko public API, which aggregates prices across hundreds of exchanges into a single global average. That average is a useful reference point, but it is not a quote: the price you actually get when buying or selling depends on your exchange, its spread, its fees and how deep its order book is at that moment.
One bitcoin divides into 100,000,000 satoshis, so a satoshi is 0.00000001 BTC. Switch the left-hand unit to sats if you prefer to work in smaller denominations; the conversion is exact either way.
